Crystal Palace F.C.'s new agreement with 90t (also known as 90t.asia) offers both organisations a commercial opportunity in Asia, but it also places responsibility on how betting-related messages are presented to football audiences.
The 2026/27 partnership appoints 90t as the club's Official Asian Betting Partner. Planned activity includes digital campaigns, social media content, official watch parties, stadium and club visits, and other supporter experiences. The fee has not been disclosed.
The fan-engagement programme could help Palace develop a closer relationship with its Asian following. Marketing Director Chris Woods said the club expects 90t's regional influence to introduce Palace to more supporters and support joint events. From a commercial perspective, the arrangement has a clear logic.
The concern is that football content and gambling promotion can reach overlapping audiences, including people who are under the legal betting age. A responsible programme should distinguish club content from promotional offers, apply effective age restrictions and state key terms clearly. Responsible gambling information should be visible rather than treated as a formality.
This does not make every betting partnership inherently unacceptable. Clubs rely on commercial income, and regulated operators are permitted to sponsor football within defined rules. It does mean that the quality of safeguards should be considered part of the partnership's performance.
Palace and 90t have described activities intended to bring Asian fans closer to the club. They can strengthen confidence in that objective by publishing clear participation rules and maintaining appropriate boundaries throughout the season. Responsible execution will determine whether the partnership earns trust alongside attention.
